Mindfulness Practice At Work
DURATION: 90 MINUTE LLl workshop
The next time you’re facing a challenge at work, wouldn’t it be great if, instead of seeing this stressful moment as a problem, and reacting accordingly with an anxious or heightened response, you could instead, take a moment to notice how your heart rate speeds up and your breathing accelerates?
By being present, and in the moment, non-judgmentally, you could learn to observe your instinctive responses and consciously switch your attitude by responding to your stress more mindfully, rather than negatively.
And what if you could benefit from a daily routine of practicing mindfulness, to stress-proof yourself and those you work with, or if you could simply recognise when these moments happen, and turn them into more manageable moments?
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
define mindfulness and its’ benefits to personal well-being;
discuss the techniques and approaches that help individuals to build daily mindfulness practice;
explore some simple, mindfulness moments and evaluate their usefulness in the workplace;
identify ways to manage workplace and personal stress using different mindfulness approaches; and
create a toolkit of ideas to commence mindfulness practice at work.
