By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • explain adult learning theories and concepts;

  • describe concepts of recent findings in brain science and learning and how to use them in learning design and delivery;

  • explain the three (3) domains of learning and their relevance to learning objectives and learning outcomes;

  • use planning tools for effective learning design;

  • compare the benefits and challenges of different training delivery mediums e.g. E-learning, face-to-face workshops, virtual learning platforms etc.

  • use tools to prepare a learning skills session and/or an information session;

  • evaluate learning experiences and use effective strategies for transfer of learning;

  • identify different learning style preferences.

  • describe critical tools and techniques for managing participant/learner behaviour and group dynamics;

  • create interactive and empowering learning activities;

  • managing diverse participant behaviours in an adult learning environment;

  • managing nerves during learning delivery;

  • demonstrate delivery of a prepared training session using tools and strategies identified in this workshop.
