Everyone, no matter what job function, has interactions with other people. Being able to better perceive, understand and manage emotions in yourself and in others, is as important as using your intellect, (aka your ‘IQ’).
Emotions are not optional. We all live with them and harnessing the energy that emotions provide can help you to become a more effective team member or leader.
In fact, emotional intelligence (EQ) has as much to do with knowing when and how to express emotion as it does with controlling it.
Emotional intelligence gives people the ability to manage their own and others' emotions to establish and maintain effective relationships and to deal effectively with their environment. Empathy, for example, is a particularly important aspect of EQ that contributes to success.
This workshop helps you to explore emotional intelligence and the competencies necessary for developing it in yourself, and how to manage the emotions of others.
